Amazon S3 Vectors now supports metadata pre-filtering, which can boost your filtered search recall by up to 5x—perfect for RAG and semantic search apps that need more complete results. The update includes a new prefix match operator ($startsWith) for filtering paths and URLs, and it's rolling out to all commercial AWS Regions and AWS China Regions at no extra cost.
